Today marked the second week of Journey Church. All I can say is wow. God is so awesome. My main buddy said we would double over the week and to God's credit...He made it happen.
Our adult experience doubled. 46 total people on hand. God is doing something awesome and I am going to brag on Him.
It is so awesome to be a small part of something big that God is doing. This journey is going to be a fun one.
If you want to hear it, our second week of podcasting our Journey is live. Here is the download.

Two Things Learned
So I figured out two things tonight.
I am out of rhythm when it comes to message prep. Over the years I have learned to develop a rhythm when it comes to developing my messages. It is a system I use to allow God to work through me. Taking a month off believe it or not has gotten me off that rhythm as well as the systematic way of developing series.
Second thing I learned is really something I already knew. I'm not a children's pastor...way out of my box. I mean way out there. Don't even know if I'll even be in the ballpark.
But I'll do my best in trying to relate to them.
Definitely got to get back in the rhythm though.

Second Week At The Journey
This journey is absolutly so much fun. Hard, yes. Filled with challenges, yes. But in it all FUN.
I have always been geared as a builder. By that I mean I have always loved the challenge of taking something that is nothing and building it to something great.
That is probably why I relish the challenge of building Journey Church with my partners and our families.
Tomorrow is our second soft-launch experience. I am so excited to see what happens from week one to week two.
My role this week. Give a five minute take on our vision, give an offering message, and then jump into our Journey Kid's area and do the message for them.
Be excited and be in prayer as we continue the JOURNEY.

Somewhere In There Is Content
So far this week in all of the other things I have been posting I have talked about improving your blogging.
If you are a blogger out there and are trying to build up your "brand", there are a couple of things you could be doing.
Now I'm sure there are plenty others and that there are shortcuts to getting there faster, but these are from my experience and would play across the board no matter which way you look at it.
Third tip has to deal with content. Yeah, I know...you got to be kidding coming from you. I blog very A.D.D. It makes sense in my mind. I can blog about one thing...then kick off in three or four different directions and come back like I haven't missed a beat. I only hope you can read like that.
Now remember I blog for a couple of purposes. What that means is this blog may at times go all over the place.
But somewhere in there you have got to bring content. You have got to be consistent in bringing that content. Remember, being consistent with great content can help you as you continue to build your blogging base.
So my three tips in building your blogging base:
1. Be Consistent
2. Contribute To Other Bloggers
3. Bring Content

Getting My Link
Had a buddy of mine ask how I secured or procured my new jasoncurlee.com link.
It was rather simple as well as painless to the wallet.
I went to godaddy.com and searched to see if the site was available. It was by the way. Purchased it for less than $10. And then redirected it to go to my blogspot.
Simple.

Busy At Work This Week
Whew...I have been busy today and for the last few days working on all these websites. For us this is going to be crucial over the life of Journey Church.
Setting up all of these initial blogs and web 2.0 applications will make it easy as we go down the road.
Interestingly in two days we have already had over 30 downloads of our podcast.
I even updated and gave a fresh coat to my own myspace.

Journey Church Podcast
Got our podcast up and rolling last night. Hear our other Sr. Leadership Team Pastor speak about our vision and then I spoke a message about Impacting Our World.
We are doing a three week series that deals with our vision called "What If?".

The series is mainly asking the question what would it look like if what happened in the book of Acts happened in Journey Church.
It is in the process of being added to Itunes for those that would like to listen through that method.
Later this week or next I'll be posting on the process of setting up the podcast at our Journey Inside site to help other churches begin this process.
