Bold Freaking Crazy

So I'm sitting here at 1:30 a.m. and I'm asking myself, "Self, are you freaking crazy?"

And I think I heard an "absolutely!!!!" somewhere in there.

I been thinking about the story of when Jonathan and his armor bearer decide to go attack the Philistine army on their own without telling anyone. That would be I Samuel 14:1-15

Jonathan was a nut. Do you realize how much boldness that had to take? or was he just freaking crazy?

Can I have that same about of boldness? Can I be that crazy? Can I totally trust God that much and step out on that much faith?

He had to realize that the odds were against him. He had to realize that in the natural this was a totally stupid move.

Not only that but I don't remember him hearing from God, praying for a week waiting on some confirmation, or God telling him to do anything. In fact it looks like he was sitting there kind of bored and kind of said..."Yo...you fill like doing something freaking crazy?"

And then in verse 6 he says, "Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf." N-U-T

I guess his armor bearer was cut from the same cloth cause off they went.

You know what...God showed up. God was there. I have this crazy feeling that God loves boldness because it is the very essence of faith.

You know what...that's the kind of faith I want. And that is exactly what I'm gonna do. I have no choice but to put my life in God's hands completely.

And I'm bold freaking crazy enough to think that God is going to shake the whole earth for me.

I think leaders have to be bold. Leadership sometimes takes some bold moves. Some moves that you or others aren't going to figure out. But it is in those bold moves that God moves.
