Tim at studentlinc.net had a great post today on your opening 3 minutes when communicating called "Ten ways to save your presentation after you've blown it".
This is very true and probably one of the least worked on parts. Sometimes it can actually come down to your first opening paragraph. But what can you do if you blow the intro...how can you get them back?
Here are five ways that stood out from his list. Read his post as he elaborates on each.
1. TELL A STORY
2. ENGAGE / INTERACT WITH ONE OR TWO PEOPLE IN THE CROWD
3. SHOCK THEM
4. MOVE CLOSER
5. ACKNOWLEDGE IT

Thanks for the link love. Blessings on you as you minister to students. I spent 13 years as a full time youth pastor and loved it. You have the toughest and greatest job in the world!
